Puyun Que Wooden Acupressure Tool — Natural Wood Triangle Massage Tool for Feet & Hands
A little wooden sparrow that fits in your palm. A smooth, natural wood massage tool with three rounded tips, for a few quiet minutes of self-massage every evening.
Product Description
A little wooden sparrow for quiet evenings
For generations, Chinese families have kept small tools of wood, horn or stone at home for gentle self-massage. It's a habit rooted in *Tui Na*, one of the oldest forms of Eastern bodywork, and passed down as something simple you can do for yourself at the end of the day.
*Que* (pronounced "chweh") means "sparrow" in Chinese, named for its little bird-like shape. Its three rounded tips fit naturally into the arches of your feet and the center of your palms, while its smooth curves glide easily along tired calves.
Keep it on your bedside table or in your bag. It's small enough to forget about, and lovely enough to reach for every night.
Why you'll love it
- **Natural wood, [hand-polished]:** Smooth and warm to the touch, with beautiful natural grain. No two are exactly alike. *
- **Three rounded tips, many uses:** Use the tips for soles and palms, and the curved sides for arches and calves.
- **Fits in your palm:** Small, light and easy to hold, even if you've never tried self-massage before.
- **Rooted in Eastern self-care:** Inspired by the long Chinese tradition of using simple wooden tools for at-home massage.
- **Perfect with our reflexology socks:** Follow the map on the socks, and let the sparrow do the pressing.
Choose your wood
- **Chicken-Wing Wood:** Deep brown with striking, feather-like grain. Our favorite.
- **[Rosewood]:** Warm reddish tones with a fine, even grain. *
From the Doctor's Notebook
> "In Tui Na, we always say: gentle and steady is better than hard and fast. When you use a tool at home, slow down, breathe, and keep the pressure comfortable. Five quiet minutes before bed is enough."
> — Puyun TCM Doctor
How to use
1. **Hold:** Rest the tool comfortably in your palm.
2. **Press:** Use a rounded tip to press gently on the sole of your foot or the center of your palm, 5–10 seconds per spot.
3. **Glide:** Use the curved side to glide slowly along the arch of your foot or your calf.
4. **Relax:** Spend 5–10 minutes in total, using light, comfortable pressure.
Caring for your tool
- Wipe clean with a dry, soft cloth after use.
- Keep away from water, heat and direct sunlight.
- Rub in a drop of oil now and then to keep the wood smooth and glowing.
